Edwin Girling and I met a young man named Tyler two years ago. He would drive by our shop, Meriden Manufacturing, with his Dad and say “Hi Guys.” After that first meeting, we asked his Dad to pull over so we could get to know the young man who said hello to us every day. We have since learned that Tyler is 25 years old and is on the Autism Spectrum. His Dad, Brian, has been Tyler’s care-giver for the last 14 years after Tyler’s mother left the family. Tyler works at a place in Meriden – we wish we knew where.
Tyler is very focused – he thinks Ed and I are photographers and always reminds us that his “Dad is a professional.” We can only imagine this young man’s life! Dad and Tyler’s other driver, Nico, make it work. Kudos as well to Tyler’s sister, Chelsea.
Tyler is a special guy who makes our day. We always look forward to seeing him.
